Ready in 30 minutes, this vanilla spice eggnog is a festive treat that is simple to make. You can make it with or without alcohol so everyone can enjoy it.

Vanilla spice eggnog is a tasty twist on a holiday classic. I like to use maple syrup in our eggnog to avoid consuming processed sugar. I think it adds a depth of flavour and makes the drink even cosier.

Eggnog does use raw eggs, so make sure to use your own judgment when choosing to drink it. We buy our eggs from a local farm and know they are high quality but please do your own research. Organic eggs from a local source that you trust would be the best option.

You can drink eggnog warm or cold – if you prefer it to be cold, save the last step of whisking egg whites until just before serving. To heat the eggnog, add it to the saucepan and use low heat to warm the mixture.

Alcohol-Free Version

Simply omit the alcohol.
