- Microfiber cloths
- White vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- Essential oil of your choice optional
- Water
Use a funnel to combine a 50:50 ratio of water and white vinegar into an amber spray bottle and give it a shake.
You can also add 20-30 drops of an essential oil if you want to scent your window spray.
Spray a generous amount of the mixture on your window. Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe away the liquid. I usually go back over the window twice to remove dirt and grime.
How long to leave white vinegar on glass?
Because white vinegar is liquid, it will run down your glass windows. For this reason I like to use the fan spray setting on my amber bottle to spritz the window and use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe the liquid away right away. I repeat the process a few times to remove the dirt and clean the window.
Can you use apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar to clean windows?
Yes, you can swap out white vinegar for apple cider vinegar to clean your windows. I like to use white vinegar in cleaning applications because it’s less expensive.
