Important - Make sure to use equipment that you don’t mind having beeswax on. Beeswax is difficult to remove once it’s melted. I like to keep dedicated equipment (a glass bowl and a small whisk) for making homemade beeswax-based body products so I don’t need to worry about completely removing the beeswax after I’m finished.
Add the beeswax pellets, coconut oil, and shea butter into the double boiler. Using low heat, melt together the three ingredients.
Once everything is completely combined and melted together, remove everything from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Use a small whisk to add in the avocado oil, vitamin E oil, lavender, frankincense, and chamomile essential oils, and stir them well. If your mixture starts to harden, add the glass bowl back on top of the saucepan with the hot water. The steam from the water should soften the mixture again without needing to turn on the stove.
Add in the arrowroot powder using a whisk. Make sure to whisk until it’s completely incorporated and there aren’t any chunks left.
Add the mixture to a small jar and let it set to room temperature uncovered. You want to leave it uncovered until it’s room temperature to avoid causing condensation in the jar. After a few hours, it should be good to go.
Store the face cream in a cool, dry place. And that’s it!
