We’re lucky enough to have an abundance of wild garlic grow near us. Every year in early spring, the garlic pops out the earth and takes over the air we breath with its wonderful smell. And every year it makes me crave homemade pasta with vegan wild garlic pesto.

Forage 3-4 handfuls of wild garlic.

Rinse and remove leaves from the wild garlic.

Blend together the wild garlic leaves, walnuts, lemon juice, and basil.

Cover the mixture with olive oil.

Add sea salt and black pepper to taste.
