It’s also a nice way to extend the life of summer tomatoes if your tomatoes are getting soft. For this recipe, the juicy or firm tomatoes work.

How To Use Homemade Tomato Relish?

  • This tomato relish would be delicious with salty homemade sourdough discard crackers.
  • Try it on a fresh baguette or on crusty toasted bread.
  • Spoon a bit over a garden fresh salad.
  • Enjoy some fresh relish at a summer BBQ, on a hamburger or bratwurst.

Instructions

Dice the tomatoes, jalapeños, and onion and add them into a bowl.

To the tomatoes, jalapeños, and onion, add the salt, honey, vinegar, and pepper. Mix well.

Add the mixture to a glass jar and put into the fridge.

You can enjoy immediately but it’s tastiest if you let it sit and marinate for a few hours.
