Ready in 10 minutes, these DIY linen napkins add a special touch to sharing food with friends or family. They are perfect for both dining outside in warm summer nights or sharing a cosy meal in the wintertime.
Linen napkins can be inordinately expensive to buy in a shop or online. But if you find a piece of linen at a thrift store or buy a yard from your fabric shop you can whip up a set of DIY linen napkins for a much more affordable price. And they’ll be ready in less that half an hour.
(Making pillow covers is another simple project you could try, to freshen up pillows you have on hand.)
Linen is such a lovely fabric. It’s light-weight and breezy, which makes it ideal for summertime. But it’s also perfectly crinkly and warm, which make it a cosy addition in the fall and wintertime.
If you have a special meal on the horizon, like a birthday or anniversary, these linen napkins would make a perfect addition to your table.
They are simple to make – I’m a beginner sewer and can make a set of these with no problem.
